About us

Hector's
Story

I am your Guna guide to take you on an unforgettable journey along the San Blas Islands. I grew up in Armila, the Guna community closest to the Colombian border, and still live there to this day with my whole family.

Over the last 10 years I have worked with several tour agencies as a guide, cook and marinero to give insight in the wisdom and beauty of our culture and our land, Guna Yala. Our traditions and our sense of community mean a lot to us and I believe it is important to conserve and share these with you!

About The Company

The company is owned and operated by Hector. He works together with a 'marinero' who runs the boat and works with the people living on the islands he takes you to, so a big part of the income goes to them for providing accommodation and good. He also has two volunteers who run the website and socials, because Guna people generally do not have computers or laptops and they have little to no experience with marketing.

All the profits go to the indigenous Guna people!
